And here is a very common mistake and a significant rule to know. When Russian people want to say “to graduate something” they use a verb ОКОНЧИТЬ instead of another verb which sounds very similar ЗАКОНЧИТЬ. The last one is more equal to FINISH in English, while the first is really close to GRADUATE. To be honest, sometimes Russians themselves say it wrong. But let’s be grammatically correct!
